Getting tech savvy

After 16 years in the advertising business, I am pursuing a degree in teaching. In December 2010, I will have my certification to teach History 8-12. I plan to be certified in Social Studies, Business and Marketing, and Technology Applications. My software skills include Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, Quark, Pagemaker, Dreamweaver, Acrobat, some Flash and Microsoft Office. I am an Apple snob, but due to necessity, I am proficient on a PC. I hope to bring my experiences from the real world into the classroom. I also hope to keep up with technology so that I will be able to communicate with my five-year old daughter, Sadie, in the future.
